STUDIOPLAST is a shipyard which builds professional workboats in fiberglass.

The company builds craft to carry passengers and cargo, as well as fishing boats and trawlers.

Studioplast boats range in length from 6 to 25 metres and can be commissioned in kit form (with only the hull and deck in fiberglass) or complete (with the engine and all accessories and equipment).

The shipyard was established in Marcon (Venice) in 1977, originally building pleasure craft.

In the Eighties it widened production to include water taxis, motorships and cargo boats, replacing the wood traditionally used locally with fiberglass.

The shipyard moved to new premises in Lughignano di Casale sul Sile (Treviso) in the Nineties to house its construction equipment and management and administrative offices. Next to the shed, which provides one thousand square metres of covered working space, is a slipway to the Sile river, where the boats are towed and launched.

Over the years, Studioplast has expanded its client base to include public organisations both locally and nationwide, being invited to take part in public and private tenders. The company supplies reinforced flat-bottomed motor craft to the Italian Ministry of Defence - Italian Navy to transport people and goods.

The shipyard is a member of the National Register of Suppliers and Contractors of the Ministry of Defence and has produced craft for the Carabinieri, the Department of Justice-Penitentiary Police, the Ministry of Economy and Finance-Finance Police, the public transport provider ACTV Venice and the Fire Brigade.

Studioplast’s quality management system is compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and the company is certified by RINA. Its workers are highly qualified and specialised in their field and include production control managers, administrative managers, an engineer who is the director of works and in charge of in-house design, and quality managers who constantly monitor the company’s quality management system.

As well as being one of the leading suppliers of boats in the Venice lagoon, Studioplast also works throughout Italy, Croatia, France and Russia.

The shipyard uses modular moulds to build boats of different lengths and widths in accordance with its clients’ needs. The shipyard can also take on new projects, working alongside external engineers and draughtsmen. Upon request, Studioplast can be commissioned to produce any other kind of object in fiberglass.
